  22. [The following is a transcript of a recorded phone message put 
  23. out by a group in Chicago called "Citizens' Committee to Clean Up 
  24. the Courts [CCCC]." (312) 731-1100 and (312) 731-1505.]

  26. Hi! Sherman Skolnick, Citizens' Committee to Clean Up the Courts, 
  27. 9800 South Oglesby.
  28.  
  29. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has a long history. Started 
  30. early in the 20th century as the "Bureau of Investigation", the 
  31. first director was Bonaparte -- like his namesake, Napoleon, a 
  32. dictator. Because it was notoriously corrupt, it was re-formed as 
  33. the *Federal* Bureau of Investigation. Its long-time head, J. 
  34. Edgar Hoover, was likewise a corrupt dictator.
  35.  
  36. As known to old-timers, Hoover took bribes from certain bank 
  37. robbers to evade prosecution. You saw in the movies what happened 
  38. to those that did not pay off!
  39.  
  40. Then and now, the FBI has rotten specialties:
  41.  
  42. ITEM: The FBI specializes in blocking pro-labor activists from 
  43. ever owning a broadcast license for radio or TV.
  44.  
  45. ITEM: The FBI likes to frame-up union organizers and trade 
  46. unionists, setting them up to go to jail on false charges of 
  47. violence and bombings.
  48.  
  49. ITEM: With their secret *agent provocateurs*, the FBI infiltrates 
  50. dissident political groups, urging them into confrontations with 
  51. the police. The FBI's black bag experts break into such movement 
  52. offices, stealing records of membership and donors, and then 
  53. using the same to terrorize supporters at their schools, offices, 
  54. and shops. (In the view of the FBI, as America's secret political 
  55. police, anyone standing out from the harmless mainstream is bound 
  56. to be a subversive and domestic terrorist!)
  57.  
  58. ITEM: The FBI uses faked-up video tapes to frame-up local 
  59. officials they don't like. It happened to several Chicago 
  60. aldermen who were outspoken for human rights -- considered, 
  61. thereby, to be "reds" by FBI!
  62.  
  63. ITEM: The FBI covers up political assassinations, such as that of 
  64. President Kennedy -- well documented in Mark North's huge book, 
  65. *Act of Treason*.
  66.  
  67. ITEM: The FBI turned a blind eye to the traditional mafia. The 
  68. underworld blackmailed, with secret pictures, "Gay Edgar 
  69. Hoover's" homosexual escapades with another top FBI official. See 
  70. Anthony Summers' book, *Official and Confidential: The Secret 
  71. Life of [J. Edgar] Hoover*. (Also, gangsters like those who owned 
  72. and operated booze maker Schenley(sp?) Industries bribed the FBI 
  73. through a crooked foundation front.)

  75. ITEM: In large cities, like Chicago, upwards of half of the FBI 
  76. agents work "counter-terrorism". What it means: they sit all 
  77. night watching the back window of the home of Palestinian- 
  78. Americans, on the false theory that *all* such are dope 
  79. traffickers and terrorists through their grocery store.

  82. Who is next on FBI's "dirty target list", huh?

  84. Never mentioned: no federal statute provides for the Federal 
  85. Bureau of Investigation. Unlike CIA, the FBI has no charter 
  86. authorizing its existence. The FBI was simply "created" out of 
  87. the mists and vapors of a would-be police state.

  89. The monopoly press has been heavily infiltrated by both the FBI 
  90. and CIA. Savvy folks call Chicago's WBBM radio and TV "Your local 
  91. FBI station". WMAQ-TV, channel 5, sub-contracts for FBI work, 
  92. processing undercover video at unmarked downtown offices. 
  93. *Tribune*-owned WGN-TV sub-contracts for FBI counter-terrorism 
  94. work, as well as Military Intelligence, undercover.

  97. ITEM: The FBI compiles dirt on the private lives and finances of 
  98. other federal officials, particularly federal judges. Purpose? So 
  99. that the FBI's boss, the Justice Department, has no problem in 
  100. winning civil and criminal cases in court.
